Drone Promotional Shoot

At Six Flags Great America, I was hosted by the park to film promotional drone footage for their 50th anniversary. I filmed from multiple areas in the park, accompanied by the park’s marketing team, to ensure safe operation of my DJI Mavic 3 Cine while the park was operating.
I was able to capture interactions between a number of the park’s rides and attractions, finding unique angles that have never been accessed before. In addition to video b-roll, unique aerial photos of the park were captured, including shots of the striking Chicago skyline as a backdrop.

In my position at Rutgers, I am responsible for overseeing weekly flights over Hort Farm II in New Brunswick, NJ, and Adelphia Farm in Freehold, NJ. I utilize a DJI Mavic 3M that flies a preprogrammed flight route (using RTK positioning), taking photos in multiple color bands for processing in Pix4D Fields.
These images are then used by the Rutgers team to evaluate their turfgrass breeding program, helping them to breed the best turfgrass their fields can produce. Files are organized using the Rutgers digital server, and flights are logged in detail using Google Sheets.
