Through Operation “Teal Team Six”, we were able to bring an end to the story of Kingda Ka, a story that never had a proper ending. An idea that came from my Dad, Phil, after seeing that the National Roller Coaster Museum was looking to raise funds for the transportation of Kingda Ka’s lead car, turned into this massive journey. Colin, Phil, and Darrius pitched the idea to Kris Rowberry from the Museum, who was able to approve the idea and begin planning. Later on, Scott, James, and Bryan were brought on to join us for the journey, a journey we have documented extensively on the Coliwood Studios YouTube Channel and other associated Social Media accounts!

THE JOURNEY

The 30-hour, 2,000-mile journey was one we needed to make as entertaining as possible. To do this, we brought Kingda Ka to many iconic theme parks and other landmarks throughout the country. During this journey, we shared updates each and every day, keeping viewers in the loop on where in the world Kingda Ka was!

THE LEGACY

Having the opportunity to do something that means so much to so many people is something I will never take for granted, and knowing the importance of what we did, I wanted to ensure that I created a video that encapsulated just how massive this journey truly was.
